COPPERAS COVE — Teachers and staff in the Copperas Cove Independent School District got a pep talk Friday to get them ready for the start of classes.

The gathering of 1,300 teachers, staff members, administrators and board members filled Lea Ledger Auditorium on the campus of Copperas Cove High School. The crowd stood and clapped along with the Pride of Cove band and CCHS Copperettes cheerleaders as the event got underway.
