Holy Family Ladies Society to host country western dinner, dance

The Holy Family Ladies Society hosts a country western dinner and dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Social Hall, 1001 Georgetown Road, Copperas Cove.

Proceeds will support charitable works.

Tickets are $15 per person and will be on sale until Monday at the Holy Family Church office.

Cove PD collecting expired, unused, unwanted prescription drugs

The Copperas Cove Police Department will collect potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

A collection container will be located in the community room of Cove PD. The service is free and anonymous. Call 254-547-8222, ext. 6984.

Water lines along Cove’s Allen Street receiving an upgrade

Qro Mex Construction Co. is upgrading water lines along Allen Street in Copperas Cove from U.S. Highway 190 to Robertson Avenue.

The expected completion date is Nov. 14. Residents in the area may encounter brief periods of time without water.
