Texas A&M AgriLife seminar scheduled for May 23

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Coryell and Hamilton counties will host a seminar on pond management, grasshopper control and weather forecasting May 23. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Gatesville Civic Center, 303 Veterans Memorial Loop, Gatesville. A $15 fee is due upon registration.

Episcopal church plans dinner

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Copperas Cove is planning its second annual Sharing Faith dinner from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday. An Italian dinner will be served. The event is free. Those attending should register at www.sharingfaith.epicenter.org. For more information, call (254) 547-0331.

Legal aid interviews Wednesday

Lone Star Legal Aid will conduct client interviews in Coryell County on Wednesday and then every third Wednesday of each month, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Coryell County Annex at 205 S. Seventh St. in Gatesville and from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Justice of the Peace Courtroom, Coryell County Annex at 201 S. Second St. in Copperas Cove.

This is a free service for representation of low-income residents of Coryell County in civil legal matters such as landlord/tenant, Social Security, powers of attorney, wills, probate, consumer issues, bankruptcy, Medicaid issues and domestic matters.

State park shows exhibit

Mother Neff State Park visitors can view the “Noble Woman– Worthy Cause” exhibit honoring Isabella Eleanor Neff and her contributions to the creation of the first state park. The exhibit can be viewed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
