High school helps parents, students interpret PSAT scores
Copperas Cove High School will provide a PSAT interpretation at 6 p.m. Jan. 30 in the school’s cafeteria. It’s for parents and 10th and 11th grade students who were administered the PSAT at the high school in October. Program remembers MLK
The Knights of Columbus is sponsoring a dinner program in Remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Farm-to-Market 2657.
Cost is $15 per person and tickets may be purchased at the Holy Catholic Church offices. Space is limited.
Unity walk set for Jan. 20
The Copperas Cove MLK Commemoration Committee will sponsor its 16th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. observance Jan 20. The Unity Walk will begin at 1 p.m. and the program will begin at 2 p.m. at Bible Way Missionary Baptist Church, 2306 S. Farm-to-Market 116. The public is invited.
Fire department accepts applications for academy
The Copperas Cove Fire Department is now accepting applications for the 2014 Citizens Fire Academy set to start March 13. Classes will be held once a week for seven weeks from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thursdays. For more information, go to http://www.copperascovetx.gov/pages/fire_department/fire_academy.htm.
