2014 Copperas Cove MLK Scholarship winners named

The 2014 Copperas Cove Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Scholarship winners are:

Tamia R. Johnson of Copperas Cove High School is the daughter of Eric and Marcia Johnson.

She is a member and director of the National Honor Society, the Spanish Honor Society and serves as the Student Council chairman.

She ranks in the top 10 percent of her class.

John G. Lumpkin of Lampasas High School is the son of George and Brenda Lumpkin.

He is a member of the marching and concert bands, the theater production team, and the National Honor Society.

He ranks in the top 10 percent of his class.

Orlandria B. Howard of Killeen High School is the daughter of Jeffrey and Trulunda Howard.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, the International Baccalaureate program and the Excel and Exchange clubs.

She ranks in the top 10 percent of her class.

Alexandra P. Fernandez of Temple High School is the daughter of Franklin and Carolyn Fernandez.

She is a member of Mu Alpha Thea, the National Honor Society and the Diamonds Dance Company.

She ranks in the top 10 percent of her class.
