High Velocity Dance Showcase May 31

GymKix will hold its High Velocity Dance Showcase from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 31 at Lea Ledger Auditorium, 400 S. 25th St. They are seeking sponsors and donations and proceeds will be donated to the Copperas Cove Education Foundation. Call GymKix at 254-547-2600.

Project Graduation needs donations

The parent representatives of the 2014 Copperas Cove Project Graduation Organization need monetary and nonmonetary donations to make goody bags, gifts, giveaway prizes and to help defray the cost of the event. Email cchsprojectgrad2014@gmail.com.

Clinic ribbon-cutting on June 5

The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce invites the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. June 5 at the new Baylor Scott & White Clinic, 239 West U.S. Highway 190, Copperas Cove.

Code Compliance office moves

The city of Copperas Cove Code Compliance office moved to a new location Wednesday. The office is now located at 221 West Avenue D; the mailing address remains P.O. Box 1449, Copperas Cove, and the phone number remains 254-542-8966.

Golf Course closed today

The Hills of Cove Golf Course will be closed to the public today for a tournament. The course will reopen to the public for regular hours Saturday. Call 254-547-2606.

Church Youth Bazaar

Robertson Avenue Baptist Church Youth Bazaar will be from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday at 305 East Robertson Avenue.

Funds raised at the bazaar will go for summer camp, youth activities and a youth conference. There will be craft vendors, a live auction and a small meal served for a minimal donation. Call 254-547-3155.

Veterans picnic fundraiser

Star Group Veterans-Helping Veterans will host a car wash fundraiser from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Lock Away Storage, 5400 East Central Expressway, Killeen. Food and drinks also will be for sale.

All proceeds will support the free Independence Day Veterans Picnic on June 28.

Memorial Day Ceremony

VFW Post 8577 and Auxiliary will hold a Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. May 26 at the Copperas Cove Cemetery. A traditional Memorial Day lunch of hot dogs will be served at the Post after the ceremony.

Copperas Cove High School Reunion

The combined classes of 1960 through 1966 will hold a class reunion May 24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Farm-to-Market 2657 in Kempner. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Contact:
