Cove fair encourages moms to breastfeed

Annamarie Garcia, breastfeeding coordinator for Bell County WIC, hopes to educate more moms about the benefits of breastfeeding by hosting events like last week’s fair at the Copperas Cove WIC office.

COPPERAS COVE – August was National Breasfeeding Month, and Bell County WIC is encouraging more moms to get information and then make an informed decision about how they feed their babies.

“So for every mom its a little bit different,” said Annamarie Garcia, the breastfeeding coordinator for Bell County WIC. “Some may have breastfed they’re really open to that idea. They love to share their information with other moms, too, so we host things like support groups.
