Amy Wrightsman, 39, is a stay-at-home mom, part-time college student and chapter organizer of Free Cakes for Kids in Killeen. She lives with her family in Copperas Cove.

What do you enjoy about Copperas Cove?

I enjoy Copperas Cove because it’s a small town, yet it has amenities that you find in bigger towns.

Are you involved in any community activities, organizations or clubs?

Yes, I volunteer at my sons’ school and church.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?

North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I love the beach. It’s like heaven on earth for me. I have great memories with my family that we have shared all the times we went there for vacations.

What was the last movie you saw? Book read? Favorite TV show?

“Planes” was the last movie that I saw. I currently do no recreational reading at the moment. I am currently reading my textbook “Business Communication” for my college class. My favorite TV show is “The Big Bang Theory.”

Tell me about your family.

We are a military family. My husband, Dan Wrightsman, is in the Army. He’s been in the army for 21 years and counting. We have two boys, Joey, 9, and Tyler, 6. My family and I have two pets, a Beta fish named Tinyfish and another Beta fish named Pichau.

If you could change one thing in your life, what would it be and why?

I would never stop going to college until I finished my degree.

What was the best advice you were ever given?

My dad used to say this saying all the time, “Good, better, best. Never let it rest. Until your good gets better and your better gets best.”
