Andrew Mack, 39, has lived in the Cove area for nine years and currently works at the Cricket store.
Where are you from originally and what brought you to this area?
I am originally from Fort Worth. I moved because my wife is originally from here so I moved here to be with her.
Tell me about your family.
I have three children, a son, age 16, a daughter, age 15, and another daughter, age 14. I have been married for 17 wonderful years. My wife works as a dental assistant in Killeen. My daughter is on the A/B honor roll and my other daughter is in choir, volleyball and basketball.
What would you like to see in Copperas Cove?
I would like to see a place where car clubs can hang out at with their cars and not get run off by the police. It would be nice if it was set up like how they have skate parks for skaters. A car park for people with cars would be nice.
What type of volunteer work do you do?
I donate to the veterans organizations, car groups and more. I allow individuals to do (fundraising) car washes in the parking lot of my store. I also donate items to Goodwill and other places.
What is your favorite vacation spot?
My favorite vacation spot is Corpus Christi. I enjoy the beach, the palm trees, and it’s cooler down there. They don’t have the mud lakes like they do here.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself sitting on the beach of Corpus Christi with my family. I plan on moving there so I can relax on the beach. However, I do know that it may be different when I move there. Now I just visit but I think that it is a wonderful place to be.
What is the best advice you were ever given?
The best advice that I was ever given was from my mother: “Wait until you get out on your own.” It’s all coming back to me as I get older and have kids of my own.
