The Copperas Cove Morning Exchange Club recently honored the Exchangites of the second, third and fourth quarters and the Exchangite of the year.
Mark Peterson received the club’s fourth quarter and Exchangite of the year awards.
“Without the support and effort of the group, this wouldn’t be possible, so on behalf of the club, thank you,” Peterson said.
The Exchangite of the second quarter award went to Joe Palumbo.
“I was a lot more active in years past, so I was going to decline, but (club president Malcolm Dickinson) put up his shield and insisted,” Palumbo said.
The third-quarter honor went to Jim Rudd.
“It’s great to be with a group of like-minded people who want to serve and make the community a better place,” Rudd said. “As you get older, time becomes precious, and using that time to better the community is really an honor, and seeing so many people willing to use their precious time to serve is truly an honor.”
The Exchange presented a check for nearly $2,500 to the club’s child abuse prevention program. Joey Ellis accepted the check for the group.
