Ray Green, 30, lives in Copperas Cove and is a sales manager for an auto dealership in Killeen.

What do you like about Copperas Cove?

I like the quietness and safeness of it. I really like the fact that they are bringing new stuff to the area. I like that it is expanding. I like the school district ... it is pretty good in Copperas Cove. The property tax in Copperas Cove is not high and it is not expensive to live in this area.

What would you add to Copperas Cove if you could?

It would be nice if they had an outlet mall. It would even be nice if they had something like what they have in Market Heights (in Harker Heights). I believe we need more places for boys and men to shop at, so you don’t have to travel so far to shop. Old Navy and other stores would be nice to have in Cove.

Tell me about your family.

I have a lovely fiancée named Valerie King. I have two children — Kaleigh, 7, and Kori, 6 weeks.

I have been engaged for seven months and we are currently working on the date and location of where we wish to exchange our vows. My dad taught me about being a true family man. He is not my biological father; however, if you ask him, I am his son. He came into my life when I was 2 years old. My sister is his biologically and he treats us no differently. I have learned true family values from my parents.

Where are you from originally?

I was born in Lafayette, La., and then my family got stationed in Germany for seven years. My dad retired from the army when I was 9 years old and I spent the rest of my childhood being raised in Harker Heights.

What was the best advice you were ever given?

The best advice that I was ever given came from my fiancée. My fiancée is very family oriented. She advises me all the time on how to be a good father, and how to be there for my kids and for her. She has taught me so much and has made me a better man.
