A8, or Ms. November, jumps up to great Aleea Best, animal control officer at the Copperas Cove Animal Shelter on Tuesday. Ms. November is the longest-running resident at the animal shelter. The new free adoption week that will begin in April was spearheaded by Best to help get black dogs like Ms. November homes quicker.
The second longest tenant at the Copperas Cove Animal Shelter, two-year-old A10 plays with a ball in the yard. A10 arrived in Febuary after he was found wandering the streets. Although he is microchipped and the shelter contacted A10's former owners, they told animal control officiers that they had given him away a long time ago, and they did not have the new owners' information to pass along.
