GymKix plans to celebrate National Dance Day on July 27. It will teach the official dance day choreography from the Dizzy Feet Foundation and NabbyTabs.

This free community event features games, parent contests and dancing fun. The schedule is: 8 years and younger from 1 to 1:45 p.m., 9 years and older from 2 to 2:45 p.m. and hip hop 10 years and older from 3 to 3:45 p.m. Family members are urged to participate with their children.

National Dance Day is an annual celebration that takes place on the last Saturday of each July.

The event was launched in 2010 by “So You Think You Can Dance” co-creator and Dizzy Feet Foundation co-president Nigel Lythgoe.

The grassroots campaign encourages Americans to embrace dance as a fun and positive way to maintain good health and combat obesity.

GymKix is at 815 E. U.S. Highway 190 in Copperas Cove.
