The Copperas Cove High School Wind Ensemble will join the Heights Band for a free Armed Forces-themed concert at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lea Ledger Auditorium.

The Heights Band is an adult community band. The concert also will feature guest pianist Cameron Hoffman, joining both bands in several selections. He will perform the first movement of the famous Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor with The Heights Band.

Hoffman is a lecturer of collaborative piano at Baylor University’s School of Music. He has collaborated on concert series throughout the United States and Europe. He was also the pianist for renowned saxophonist Eugene Rousseau, with whom he completed multiple tours of Italy and Spain. The sweepstakes award-winning wind ensemble is under the direction of Randy Kelley. Carlton Morris directs The Heights Band.
