There are an abundance of Easter activities today through Sunday in Cove.

Good Friday

Easter Social at Stoney Brook Assisted Living, 1808 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Event begins at 2 p.m. and includes an Easter hat parade, egg hunt and other festivities. Call 254-547-1700.

Holy Family Catholic Church, 1001 Georgetown Road, has reconciliation from noon to 2:30 p.m. followed immediately by Devine Mercy Novena and then Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. The Celebration of the Lord’s Passion begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a fish fry from 6 to 8 p.m. in the social hall. The all-you-can-eat dinner costs $9 for adults and $4 for children. The donation of a canned food item in support of local soup kitchens is appreciated. Call 254-547-3735.

Holy Saturday

Copperas Cove VFW and Ladies Auxiliary Post 8577 hosts its annual Easter egg hunt at the post headquarters, 1506 Veterans Ave., from 10 a.m. to noon. Call 254-547-3973.

First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove holds its block party and Easter egg hunt from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include bounce houses, slides, face painting, food, games and a massive egg hunt. The event is free and open to the public. The church is at 300 West Avenue B. Call 254-547-3717.

Grace United Methodist Church holds its Easter eve service at 6 p.m. The church is at 101 West Avenue F. Call (254) 547-3729 or (254) 547-6191.

Holy Family Catholic Church, 1001 Georgetown Road, has its Blessing of Easter Food at 10 a.m. Participants are asked to bring a nonperishable item for their Easter dinner. An Easter vigil begins at 8:30 p.m. This is a lengthy service, approximately three hours that is not suitable for small children. No child care is available. Call 254-547-3735.

Easter Sunday

Topsey Church of Hillside Ministries holds its first worship service in the new church at 4406 Farm-to-Market 1113, Copperas Cove. Pastor Tim O’Neal will lead the service. Contact O’Neal at 254-338-0722 or

Grace United Methodist Church Easter service music for 8:05 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services will be fully orchestrated, consisting of professional symphony musicians. The chamber orchestra will accompany both the choir and congregation for each music selection. The church is at 101 West Avenue F. Call Steven Kirkpatrick at 254-258-6844.

Easter Sunday Mass times at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1001 Georgetown Road, are 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. with an Easter egg hunt for children ages 8 and younger after 10:15 a.m. Mass. Call 254-547-3735.
