Motorcycle riders in the tricounty area are gearing up for the 24th annual TriCounty Toy Run on Sunday.

The TriCounty Toy Run Committee and American Legion Post 133 are inviting all bikers and volunteers to attend the event, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast.

The toy run is an annual event meant to raise donations and awareness for families who may not be able to afford gifts for their children during the Christmas season.

The toy run will start at American Legion Post 133 in Temple at the corner of 25th Street and Avenue M.

Riders will travel to Ogletree Gap Park in Copperas Cove.

The riders will leave the post at 1 p.m. and reach the park about 2 p.m.

All riders wishing to participate in the toy run are asked to bring a new toy to donate.

A free breakfast will kick off the event, and a free chili supper will await riders and volunteers at Ogletree Gap Park.

Admission to the event is any monetary donation or a donation of a new toy.
