Independent Aflac agent Thomas “Tom” Beato cut the ribbon on his new business Monday at the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce.

“I’ve been in the Copperas Cove community since 1994 as a soldier, as a business developer and as an independent contractor and feel that the Chamber of Commerce allows me to reach the community to let them know about the supplemental insurance and changes with the upcoming health care reform,” Beato said.

Betty Price, chamber president, said she invited Beato to have the ceremony at the chamber because he’s usually on the road visiting businesses and discussing his products. “I’m excited about the Aflac product because it puts money right in your pocket,” Beato said. “Our rates have not gone up since 1955; we are a very stable company.”
