Golf tournament Saturday in Cove

Copperas Cove Lions Club will host the 26th annual golf tournament Saturday at the Hills of Cove Golf Course. It is a four-person scramble and individuals or teams can sign up. Entry fee is $50, which covers a meal, green fees and cart. Prizes include cash, a 2014 Dodge Challenger SXT, a flat screen television, and more. Call the Hills of Cove Golf Course at 547-2606.

Community auction Saturday

The Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 8577 will sponsor a community auction Saturday. There will be a cake walk at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be Dime a Dip from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Raffle tables and auction will run from 12:30 to 3 p.m. The public is invited to come and join the fun while supporting community associations. All proceeds will go to the organizational programs of VFW Post 8577, the Ladies Auxiliary and Jr. Girls, Military Order of the Cootie, the Auxiliary Pup Tent 13, AARP Chapter 1359, and WAC VETS Chapter 94. Military Order of the Cootie event

The Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tent 13 and Auxiliary will make its fifth Sunday visit to the Temple VA Hospital at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Copperas Cove High School reunion

The combined Copperas Cove High School classes from 1960 to 1966 will have a class reunion May 24 at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Farm-to-Market 2657 in Kempner. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. Dinner is at 6 p.m. The class of 1964 is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
