Church group plans Christmas program

The 5 Hills Cowboy Church youth group will present a Christmas program at 7 p.m. Saturday. Everyone is invited. Snacks will be available.

The church is at 139 County Road 4630 in Kempner.

County limits sale, use of fireworks

Because of drought conditions in Coryell County, commissioners have banned the sale or use of some fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Coryell County.

The order does not prohibit small fireworks classified as class C and large fireworks classified as class B.

Project Graduation wraps presents

Project Graduation members will wrap gifts for donations at the Copperas Cove Walmart starting at 1 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from 9 a.m. until finished on Christmas Eve. The committee asks that Copperas Cove seniors and parents volunteer.

Wrapping materials are needed and can be dropped off at the gift-wrapping site.

All proceeds benefit Project Graduation.

Crime Stoppers pays for tips

Copperas Cove Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that helps solve crimes. All callers will remain anonymous.
