Copperas Cove is a great place to raise a family but the worst place in the world for any animal, feral or not! They are so scared of change that they would rather kill a bunch of cats because some stupid retired veterinarians said that feral cats can give you diseases, that mind you come from Iraq, none of the diseases they tried to say were even American. I went to the first meeting about this and they said they were going to a different approach about this, its sad when all the cities and towns around Copperas Cove have all started opting for TNR but there are so many people on that board that dont want to hear reason and so many at the animal shelter that dont want to hear it either. I had cats that I did TNR with, they never gave us any diseases, matter of fact they keep the rodents from my house, they keep other ferals from my property, and I got mine from neighbors who moved and left them behind. It is not the cats fault that US humans are ignoring our responsiblities of spaying and nuetering the animals, but US humans are quick to put that needle in and kill them! Sad it really is!
