Deon Dewayne Elliott, 32, of Killeen is being held in the Williamson County Jail on $20,000 surety felony bond.
Elliott was stopped Friday night by Florence police after the department received a call about a possible drunken driver.
He was arraigned on a charge of evading arrest or detention with a prior conviction in Williamson County over the weekend.
After Elliott gave the officer his identification, he left the scene. According to Florence police Chief Adam Marsh, that’s when a chase ensued.
Speeds during the chase ranged from 10 mph to over 100 mph, Marsh said.
Elliott drove to Killeen, and after spike strips finally flattened his tires, he surrendered at his home.
