A suspect in a theft is being sought by Copperas Cove police.

A suspect in a theft is being sought by Copperas Cove police.

The victim, who is confined to an electric wheelchair, met the suspect Dec. 8 while riding a public bus.

The victim’s wheelchair failed to function and the suspect offered to push the victim home.

Upon arriving at the victim’s home, the suspect grabbed a bag containing U.S. currency and ran off.

Police continue to investigate the incident.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available to those who submit information leading to an arrest and prosecution. Submissions made through Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
