Central Texas College recently announced new additions to its spring semester curriculum including flexible class formats and new certificate programs. The new opportunities are available for the spring 2017 semester, which opens Jan. 17.

The new offerings begin with the Office Technology department’s Blocked Blended Mondays Flexible Learning program.

Students can complete 18 credit hours to earn an office technology support certificate of completion in one semester. The blended format includes classroom and online learning. Students can register for all six courses at once in the certificate program: Beginning keyboarding, computer apps I, business English, records and information management, business math using technology and administrative office procedures I. Classes are scheduled each Monday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Office Technology also offers eight-week blended courses from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays where students can earn credit toward an office technology support certificate of completion. Classes are held Saturday, Jan. 23 to March 26, and March 27 to May 19.

Other new offerings by department include:

  • Business Administration and Paralegal department: eight-week real estate classes designed to help students complete the program faster; and self-paced business administration courses to provide flexibility for students.
  • Math department: online and blended engineering classes.
