The Coryell County district clerk released information Tuesday stating the grand jury indicted a Copperas Cove woman who drove from the scene of a robbery with the victim clinging to the hood of a car.

The grand jury indicted Sara Louise Bryant, 24, last week on a charge of aggravated robbery.

According to the arrest complaint, a female victim told police she was using the bathroom at the Copperas Cove McDonald’s on Jan. 5 when two women, one identified as Bryant, swiped her wallet from the bathroom sink.

The victim reportedly attempted to stop the women from stealing her belongings several times inside the fast-food establishment, but eventually asked employees to call the police, the complaint stated.

Bryant eventually pushed passed the victim, exited the building and climbed into her car, the complaint stated.

In the parking lot, the victim continued to try to stop the two by standing in front of their Dodge Magnum, but the women reportedly lunged the car at the victim several times before swerving around her.

As the car exited the parking lot, the victim rushed across the property and jumped on the hood of the car, the complaint stated. The car continued to exited the parking lot and traveled east on U.S. Highway 190 to the Relax Inn.

There, Bryant allegedly exited the vehicle and pulled the victim off the hood before entering the Magnum again and driving into a neighborhood.

Police apprehended Bryant and the second woman because an officer pulled them over in the McDonald’s parking lot for an expired registration sticker 20 minutes before the robbery, where he gave them a verbal warning for the violation.

During the police investigation, witnesses at the McDonald’s identified Bryant as the same woman who was pulled over and who allegedly robbed the victim.
