A Cove man was charged with aggravated robbery after displaying a handgun inside a business and demanding money.
According to a news release from Cove Police Department spokesman Sgt. Martin Ruiz, police officers responded to an aggravated robbery call at the Long Horn Internet Cafe at 2:14 p.m. Saturday.
Police were told a man wearing a blue sweatshirt fled the scene on foot after showing the weapon.
Officers were then told a resident had the suspect detained in the 900 block of Industrial Avenue, according to the news release.
The suspect was identified as Samuel Patrick Hunter, 25, due to the physical description from the victim and surveillance video, the release said.
Hunter was charged with aggravated robbery and arraigned by Justice of the Peace William Price, who set bond at $25,000 Sunday.
