Staff members from the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth will conduct a SKYWARN severe weather program Tuesday in Copperas Cove as part of its weather preparedness campaign to train storm spotters.

The program, free and open to the public, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Copperas Cove city council chambers, 507 S. Main Street.

The Coryell County severe weather program is one of more than 60 training sessions the Fort Worth NWS Office will conduct through March.

The service provides forecasts, warnings and weather services for 46 counties in north and north-central Texas.
