The combined classes of 1960 through 1966 will hold a class reunion Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Farm-to-Market 2657 in Kempner. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. and light refreshments will be served. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The class of 1964 is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Scott & White ribbon-cutting

The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce invites the community to come to a ribbon cutting at the new Copperas Cove Baylor Scott & White Clinic at 11 a.m. on June 5 at 239 W. U.S. Highway 190.

Lunch and Learn

Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Lunch and Learn from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. June 13 at Copperas Cove EDC, 210 S. First St. Call 254-547-7874.

Vacation Bible School

Kempner Oak Hills Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m. June 16-20 on the corner of Farm-to-Market 2657 and Boys Ranch Road. Call Bill Minton at 254-547-5585.

Seamless Summer Feeding Program

Copperas Cove Independent School District announces the sponsorship of the Seamless Summer Feeding Program. Free meals will be provided to children 18 years of age or younger at several schools. Adult meals will also be available at a cost of $2 for breakfast and $3.25 for lunch. Call Cove ISD Child Nutrition Department at 254-547-1227.

Fire camp volunteers

The Copperas Cove Fire Department is seeking young volunteers to attend the annual Mentoring Industrious Minds & Educating Students Fire Camp Aug. 4-8. The camp is open to students entering the eighth grade only. There is no charge to participate and enrollment is limited. Contact Capt. Polidoro at cpolidoro@copperascovetx.gov or call 254-547-2514.

Church yard sale

United Pentecostal Church of Copperas Cove is having a churchwide yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, at 1302 Pecan Cove Drive, to raise money for a Mothers Memorial.

Memorial Day ceremony

VFW Post 8577 and Auxiliary will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at Copperas Cove Cemetery. There will be a traditional “Memorial Day” lunch of hot dogs after the ceremony at the Post.

Applications for tax board

Copperas Cove is accepting applications to fill one position on the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1 Board. This position is a two year term. The purpose of the board is to make recommendations to the City council concerning the administration of the TIRZ.

Applications are available at 914 South Main Street, Suite E or online at www.copperascovetx.gov.

Applications will be accepted through June 13.

Dance showcase

GymKix will hold its High Velocity Dance Showcase from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 31 at Lea Ledger Auditorium, 400 South 25th St. They are seeking sponsors and donations. Proceeds will be donated to the Copperas Cove Education Foundation.

Music at the Gap

Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce invites the community to come out for an evening of family fun and music with Music at the Gap from 5 to 10 p.m. June 14 at OgleeTree Gap Park, 1878 Post Office Road. The cost is $20.
