Retired teachers plan potluck luncheon

The Copperas Cove Retired Teaches Association will welcome new school retirees with a potluck luncheon at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 300 W. Avenue B, Copperas Cove.

Guest speaker will be Joe Burns, superintendent of the Copperas Cove Independent School District.

Members are asked to bring a potluck dish, children’s books for the Children’s Book Project and a canned food item for the church food pantry.

Door prizes will be awarded. All public school retirees are invited.
