Twin Liquors Director of Marketing Sandra Spalding said the store specializes in whisky. They even carry their own private select brand.

Nearly 50 residents had a chance to view the fully stocked shelves Thursday at a grand opening for Twin Liquors. The store is at 232 Robert Griffin III in the in Phase II of the Five Hills shopping center.

Twin Liquors has 86 locations in Central Texas including stores in Killeen and Harker Heights.

The Copperas Cove store has fifths of whisky created by Michael Salome, son of owner Margaret Jabour.

“He made his own barrel of private select whisky,” Spalding said. “This is the fourth generation of whisky made by the Jabour family.”

The chain started in Austin and continues to provide local manufacturers with a place to sell their products. Twin Liquors now has 86 locations from Houston to Waco.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Twin Liquors will employe three full-time employees, including resident Margie Stenson, who is the store manager.
