Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8577 will conduct a bell ringing ceremony at 1 p.m. July 4 to commemorate Independence Day.

The post will start the service with a single cannon volley before local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts ring the ceremonial bell for every state and call out the state’s name.

Food will be served after the ceremony.

The public is invited to attend both the ceremony and the meal.

VFW Post 8577 is at 1506 Veterans Ave.
