Jan. 1 brought a lot of changes into our already changing world. In the last 10 days, I have heard many conversations among people who are in disagreement with new laws, religious choices, and personal preferences.

The military has changed my life in important ways

I was raised with tradition, taught to respect my elders, my country, and all who come across my path. I was reared by my grandparents. My grandfather migrated to the United States from Czechoslovakia during the Nazi regime and he valued freedom in the deepest sense. His heart swelled with pride when he found I was marrying a military man.

Copperas Cove already feels like home to me

We military spouses say “Home is where the Army sends us.” As I made my 15th military move from Germany to Fort Hood in August, I was excited to be moving to Texas.
