The phrase “spring break” conjures up images of riding bikes and playing outside before eating some ice cream or jumping into a pool to cool down. Another option is to consider spending time at the Copperas Cove Public Library.
Today, the Double C’s Square Dance Club will host a square dance at 7 p.m. The monthly book club will meet Monday at 10 a.m. The book club is for avid readers to get together and discuss interesting books they have read.
There will be no Toddler Time or Story Time during spring break.
There are still a few things on Tuesday, however. The library will offer e-book help from 2 to 3 p.m. The service is designed to help readers new to digital reading devices learn how to check out electronic books from the library over the internet.
The Double C’s Square Dance group’s weekly square dance lessons are at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The lessons are a way for attendees to learn the ins and outs of square dancing before the group’s bi-monthly square dances.
On Wednesday, the local AARP will offer free tax assistance at the library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. The tax help is every Wednesday at the library until the tax filing deadline.
The library is also continuing to put new books out on the shelves every week. Some of the new books include “Love,” by Matt de la Peña; “Robinson,” Peter Sis; and “The Hawk of the Castle,” Danna Smith.
