Copperas Cove begins its trek toward another District 8-5A track and field championship Saturday, hosting the Bulldawg Relays to open the season.

Last year, the Bulldawgs, who went on to win their third consecutive district title, claimed the championship at their home meet.

Other schools participating in this year’s Bulldawg Relays include Shoemaker, Killeen, Harker Heights, Belton, Lometa, Temple, Salado, Midway and Waco University.

Harker Heights won the girls division last year.

The meet will take place at Bulldawg Stadium with events beginning at 9 a.m.
