LEANDER — Cameron Woodberry swept the long-distance events, the Bulldawgs won two relay races and Copperas Cove ran away with the team championship Thursday at the Leander Rouse track meet.

Woodberry won the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 33.1 seconds. He topped the 3,200 field in 9:59.17.

Cove finished with 122 points, well ahead of runner-up Killeen’s 78. Other 8-5A teams in the meet were Ellison (ninth, 37.5 points) and Harker Heights (12th, 27 points)

Daniel Ruff, Vondareaz King, Devon West and Andrew Leuthner combined for a winning time of 1:29.29 in the 800 relay. Jacob Peart,  800 individual winner George Lowe, Eric Martinez and David Irving led the Bulldawgs to a win in the 1,600 relay with a time of 3:26.01.

Cove also won the distance medley relay with Leonard Kim (1,200), Spencer Malchow (400), Hunter McVeigh (800) and Woodberry (1,600). Their time was 10:59.21.
