More and more, it looks like the Copperas Cove Lady Dawgs prefer to come from behind. Jessica Vick scored twice and Ali McBride added another goal as the Lady Dawgs rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to beat Killeen 3-2 Tuesday at Copperas Cove.

“We could’ve had so many goals in the first half, we just weren’t executing. We were missing right, left, up and down, it was ridiculous,” said Cove coach Hagen Streckel.

Kendra Pyles scored on an assist from Haley Crissman in the final minute of the first half for Killeen, but Vick scored twice on assists from Shelbie Letzer and Cheyenne Heuerque to give Cove (13-7, 5-4 8-5A) a 2-1 lead in the 74th minute and McBride added the cushion goal on an assist from Letzer with 18 minutes left. Crissman scored on an assist from McKenzie Jones for Killeen (1-10-4, 1-8) with eight minutes left.
