Air Force Airman 1st Class Kandis D. Jackson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jackson is the daughter of Fran Graves of Harker Heights.

She is a 2006 graduate of Harker Heights High School.

Air Force Airman Kadeem J. Speller graduated from eight weeks of basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Speller is the son of Debra Speller of Killeen, and Grant Speller of Strasburg, Va.

He is a 2010 graduate of Ellison High School.

Public input sought on special education services

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services and the Texas Education Agency will conduct a series of listening sessions in Texas during the week of Dec. 12, according to a news release from the Department of Education.
