Navy Lt. Joshua J. Silva attached to the Patrol Squadron 10 homeported in Jacksonville, Fla., was recently awarded the 2011 Aviation Battle Efficiency, Battle "E," from commander, Naval Air Forces.

The aviation Battle "E" is the Navy's top performance award presented to the aircraft carrier and aviation squadron in each competitive category that achieves the highest standards of performance, readiness and efficiency.

Silva's wife, Adrianna, is the daughter of Lupe and John Gonzalez of Killeen.

Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Steven C. Pullen recently reported for duty at Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi.

Pullen joined the Navy in December 1996.

He is a 1996 graduate of Ellison High School.

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Chad J. Elletson recently reported for duty at Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi.

Elletson, a 2006 graduate of Harker Heights High School, joined the Navy in October 2010.

He is the son of Mark T. Bolton of Harker Heights.

Air Force Airman Johnathon P. Herron has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Herron is a 2009 graduate of Transformative Charter Academy in Killeen.

He is the son of Ron and Connie Herron of Harker Heights. He is the grandson of Gesty Herron of Killeen, and Bud and Gerty Herron of Killeen.

Air Force Airman Ryan W. Williams graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Williams is a 2009 graduate of Killeen High School.

He is the son of Marian Williams and Rickey Williams, both of Killeen.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Marckia R. Wilson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

She is a 2007 graduate of Lexington Christian Academy.

Wilson is the daughter of Marcus and Regina Wilson of Killeen, and granddaughter of Brenda Edrington of Lexington, Ky.

Air Force Reserve Airman Melanie J. Allor graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

She is a 2011 graduate of Harker Heights High School.

Allor is the daughter of Margaret Allor of Archdale, N.C., and Matthew Allor of Lincoln, Ala.
