Cadet Micah Ables, son of Doug and Mary Ables of Copperas Cove, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on May 26.

Home-schooled, Ables graduated from Central Texas College with an associates degree in math in 2008.

At West Point, he majored in comparative politics and minored in computer science and counter terrorism.

Upon graduation Ables was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army within the Infantry Branch.

After completing Airborne school, Ranger training and the Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Benning, Ga., Ables will report to Fort Campbell, Ky., for his first assignment.

COPPERAS COVE — Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect they say was involved in a burglary of a building and criminal mischief that occurred Monday at Jokers/Southern Nights Club, 301 Joe's Road.
