The 13th Sustainment Command will continue a weeklong series of “active shooter” force protection exercises in their unit footprint in the vicinity of Support Avenue and 62nd and 67th streets at various times from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Saturday. The training began Monday.

The purpose of the exercise is to test members of the unit on what they learned during past training sessions on how to react in an active shooter incident.

During the exercises certain buildings will be briefly shutdown. The exercises should not interfere with any Fort Hood traffic.

The exact dates and times of the exercises are purposefully not disclosed.
