Family and friends of Staff Sgt. Miguel Colonvazquez gathered at the Killeen home he shared with his wife Ngo Pham and three daughters, Ayanami Pham, Jasuna Cruz Pham and Annalise Colonvazquez, for a barbeque on Friday, June 2, 2017.

KILLEEN — More than 20 friends, family members, and soldiers gathered Friday at the Killeen home of Ngo T. Pham on the one-year anniversary of the Fort Hood flooding accident that took the lives of eight Fort Hood soldiers and a West Point cadet.

Pham, the widow of Staff Sgt. Miguel Colonvazquez, who was among those killed in the rollover — hosted one more barbecue for her husbands soldiers and friends to remember and honor the lives of those who lost their lives and those who struggle with the aftermath of what happened.
