Fort Hood officials Aug. 7 released the name of a soldier who was found unresponsive Aug. 4 in her barracks room.

Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, officials said.

Pfc. Lisa Christine Salzman, 27, of Buffalo, N.Y., entered the military in May 2012 as a small-arms artillery repairer. She was assigned to 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, since January.

Salzman’s awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
