A conference for men seeking spiritual growth is coming to Fort Hood next month.

The Rough Cut Men Conference is a free event April 4-5 at the Spirit of Fort Hood Chapel.

“It is an interactive experience that integrates full-blown Hollywood action movie clips, relevant current events, and stories of guys just like us and biblical principles,” said David Dusek, executive director and founder of Rough Cut Men Ministries.

Dusek travels around the world using the Rough Cut Men movie experience to get men to be transparent with one another and with Jesus.

The conference has been at installations across the United States, Germany and Korea. The Fort Hood conference will have five, 55-minute teaching sessions with 30 minutes of table discussion afterward. Dusek will be the guest speaker.

The conference is sponsored by the Officers’ Christian Fellowship.

“The purpose of the Officers’ Christian Fellowship is to unite Christian officers for biblical fellowship and outreach, equipping them to reach the entire military,” said Retired Col. Aaron Zook, field staff representative for the Fort Hood and South Texas Officers’ Christian Fellowship.

The organization holds many events and Bible studies on post. On Friday they will have a meeting for unit points of contact at 1 p.m. at the 1st Cavalry Headquarters, second floor, conference room west.
