A one-star general scheduled to move to Fort Hood was reassigned, the Defense Department announced May 29.

It was announced in January that Brig. Gen. (promotable) Stephen M. Twitty would join Fort Hood as the senior post commander. He will now move to Fort Bragg, N.C., to serve as the deputy chief of staff. He most recently served as deputy chief of staff for communications with Headquarters of International Security Assistance Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.

Maj. Gen. Anthony Ierardi, 1st Cavalry Division commander, will continue to serve as Fort Hood’s senior post commander pending future announcements from the Defense Department, according to post officials.
