Fort Hood officials identify three soldiers who died last week

Fort Hood officials on Monday released the names of three soldiers who died last week.

Chief Warrant Officer-2 Jeremy Fenison, 31, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Sept. 10 in a Temple hospital of injuries sustained from an apparent gunshot wound in Copperas Cove.

Fenison entered active-duty service in August 1999. He was commissioned in July 2008 as an engineer equipment maintenance warrant officer. He arrived at Fort Hood on Sept. 6 and was assigned to the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. Fenison deployed to Afghanistan from July 2011 to July 2012.

His awards and decorations include a Bronze Star Medal, three Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Media with campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal and Driver and Mechanic Badge.

Two other soldiers died Sept. 13 in an apartment fire in Killeen.

Pfc. Seth M. Soulsby, 19, of Mogadore, Ohio, entered the military in June 2011 as an infantryman. He was assigned to 2nd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, since December 2011.

His awards and decorations include the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.

Pvt. Christopher M. Sroka, 21, of Findlay, Ohio, entered the military in February 2012 as a wheeled vehicle mechanic. He was assigned to 115th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since August 2012.

His awards and decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Ribbon.
