Army Pvt. Justin T. Garrison graduated from nine weeks of basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Ga.

A 2013 graduate of Richard Milburn High School, Justin is the son of Jaylene Garrison of Harker Heights.

Air Force Airman Cedaz E. Gibbs graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

The airman completed a program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Gibbs, a 2006 graduate of Ellison High School, is the son of Juanita Gibbs of Killeen.

Army Pvt. Van M. Merrill III, a 2008 graduate of Harker Heights High School, graduated from nine weeks of basic combat training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

Merrill is the son of Janet Kelly-De-Young and stepson of David DeYoung, both of Grand Haven, Mich. He is also the son of Van Merrill Jr. of Harker Heights.

Air Force Airman Javon A. Simms completed eight weeks of basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Simms is the son of Elliot Germany of Killeen.

Army Pvt. Andrew E. Brown graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., which included basic military training and advanced individual training.

During AIT, Brown completed the military police specialist course.

Brown is the son of Steven and Shauna Brown of Harker Heights. His wife, Kayla, is the daughter of Steven and Isabel Katsonis of Eliot, Maine.

Brown is a 2011 graduate of Harker Heights High School.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jasmine S. Williams completed eight weeks of basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio.

Williams, a 2009 graduate of Harker Heights High School, received a bachelor’s degree in 2012 from Texas State University, San Marcos.

She is the daughter of Vennessa Williams and niece of Eret Cliette, both of Killeen.
