Great article, it is nice to see a neutral piece covering comparitive local shopping. A larger shopping trip piece would be appreciated as it could get the snapshot of buying laundry detergent/dish soap and a few other items folks must buy every month. I'm strongly opinionated as to which venue is the best (cost and service combined) and it is nice to see reporting excluding personal opinion and just presenting facts.

It would have been nice to have been informed that our picture was taken and put in the paper and online...was a lil creeped out when my friends told me.

I would try the commissary if I could..so I do most of my shopping at Walmart.
I hear lots of stories about how employees are mistreated, and I do consider that until I go to HEB. At HEB I am overcharged almost everytime. HEB's prices that I'm charged do not match the posted price. And in order to get a refund, I have to look like an A.. to get my money back. I have told the checkers at times, and they ignore what I tell them. I have talked to others and some say the same about HEB. They lost a large part of my shopping a long time ago.

Shopping in the commissary is fine if you can drive to it. I'm not able to drive that distance. I live about a mile from an HEB, just a little further from a Walmart. Why should I shop at the commissary when it is just me, I don't buy in bulk-- and I'm perfectly happy with my stores nearby.
