Finding the deals

Create an email address that you can use to find those deals. Use this email to receive special offers and coupons from websites of restaurants, big box stores such as Kohls, Sears and even from local businesses. Utilizing this email address will keep your work and personal email addresses much cleaner and organized. Since Halloween is coming up, sign up for coupons from Spirit Halloween, which is in the old Gander Mountain location, 701 E. Central Texas Expressway, Killeen. Sign up for emails to get local deals and coupons from the PX. Go to www.myexchange.com to sign up. To get deals on candy, sign up for special offers from Walgreen’s, CVS, Target and H-E-B websites. Totally Target (Target deals), IHearttheMart (Walmart deals), and WildforWags (Walgreens deals) are some of the websites that focus on particular stores. These will offer breakdowns of how to get great sales on trick or treat treats. You can also use RetailMeNot and Coupon Cabin to help you find coupons instantly. Make sure you get the Killeen Daily Herald Newspapers to get all the local stores’ sale flyers and of course the coupons!

Budget plan

You still have time to save for Halloween, especially for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Start saving money with these following tips:

The “invisible deposits” is opening a savings account and having a small portion of your paycheck direct deposited into your savings. It’s a small amount that you don’t really notice a dent in your checks yet you are contributing to your savings without actually doing anything. If you get paid bi weekly, if you stash away $15 each paycheck, you will have $30 saved by the end of October. You can get your significant other to do the same as well. That would save $60 a month! That money can help you through an emergency or to get the Halloween costumes and candy. If you continue to save it, you can rack up $150 for Christmas! That’s a bunch of small gifts for friends and family right there! It may not seem as much but that’s YOUR money you have been saving!

“Loose change banking” every night or on laundry day, empty the pockets and all loose change goes in a jar. Put a jar where you change your clothes and in the laundry room. I empty out my purse once a month. Any dollar bills in the bottom of my purse goes right in the jar too. I actually accumulated over $100 for two months. This would be perfect for kids to help them see the value of saving their money.

For the future

There are some websites I highly recommend to get the latest and hottest deals for the holidays. Savealotmom, RainingHotCoupons, FreeStuffFinder, Passion for Savings and KrazyCouponLady are my favorite websites to follow.

They have a series of special offers that range from Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. They find these deals and post them but as soon as they do publish their finds, you got to be quick and buy it! They go very quickly.

Also, sign up for special offers from various websites such as Amazon, eBay, Groupon and Living Social as well. I have bought several gifts on online, especially through Amazon and Groupon. These sites are also great because they offer phenomenal deals on gift cards! Gift cards never expire and make awesome gifts (along with adding a few items with it to make it extra special.) If you are a Sams Club member, you can also buy discounted giftcards in their store.
