Staff from Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center is preparing to move into new offices. While the inpatient move is set for April 3, many departments and outlying clinics will begin the move from the old hospital to the new facility near the end of March.
Patient care will be minimally affected during the move; however, some departments may have reduced or limited schedules during the actual move days.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to contact the individual clinics for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Here’s a timeline of department moves:
The emergency department will move at 7 a.m. on April 3.
All beneficiaries requiring emergency care after 7 a.m. on April 3 should report to the new hospital located at 36065 Santa Fe Avenue.
Labor and Delivery
The Labor & Delivery department will move at 7 a.m. on April 3.
All patients should report to the new L&D in the Wildflowers Clinic at the new hospital located at 36065 Santa Fe Avenue.
Main outpatient pharmacy will close March 31. The Pharmacy will not be open April 1-3.
Beneficiaries should use Clear Creek Pharmacy for prescriptions and refills on April 1-2. All pharmacies will be closed on April 3 and will return to normal operations on April 4.
Pediatrics Clinic, located in Building 412 will be moving to the new hospital. The clinic will have reduced appointments this week.
Red Banner at Thomas Moore Health Clinic will move to the Pediatrics Clinic located in the Wetlands Clinic at the new hospital.
The Pediatrics clinic will resume normal operations on March 29 in the new hospital.
Department of Behavioral Health
Child and Family Behavioral Health Services will move on April 1.
There will be limited patient appointments March 31-April 4. Normal operations will resume April 8. Behavioral Health is located in the HAP/Case Management Department.
Soldier Behavioral Health Services
Tele-behavioral Health will have limited availability March 24-29. It will open in the new hospital on March 30.
Multi-D clinic will move from the old hospital to the new hospital on March 30. It will open for appointments in the new hospital April 1. Multi-D in the new hospital will serve Division West, Dental Activity, Installation Management Command, Medical Center, MEDCEN-Warrior Transition Unit, United States Army Operational Test Command, Public Health Command and U.S. Air Force 3rd Weather Squadron.
The Biofeedback Clinic will move from the old hospital on March 30. It will open in new hospital on April 7.
Family Advocacy Program
The Family Advocacy Program is moving from Building 2255 to the new hospital on March 25.
Command Administrative Offices will move this week.
The medical center’s dining facility will conduct split operations to support patients and staff at both hospitals.
