Boot collection: Fort Hood Fisher House is collecting 3,500 pairs of combat boots to honor service members killed in combat since 2001. The boots will line the route of the Remembrance Run on Nov. 1. Drop off donations at Old Navy in Harker Heights, The Texas Outpost in Copperas Cove, on post Green Beans coffee locations and Fisher House. Lace up the boots individually and place a small empty water bottle upside-down in each one. Small American flags also are welcome. Email theresa.m.johnson2.naf@mail.mil. Roller Derby Recreation League: Come out and join the Fort Hood Hell on Wheels All Girl Roller Derby Recreation League. The free league is open to female DOD ID card holders age 16 and older. Skaters must provide their own equipment. The league meets from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Health Promotions Aerobics and Skating Center, Building 324 on 37th Street. Fitness for Everyone: The event has $10 coupon inside that customers can use on purchases of athletic apparel or footwear of $50 or more at Warrior Way Specialty Store. More specials available in store.

Thursday

Support Group: Open to any kind of trauma survivors and caregivers. Hosted by Darnall Department of Ministry and Pastoral Care, the group meets from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Darnall chapel. Call Chaplain S.R. Handy at 254-288-8849 or 254-288-8850.

Tuesday

Just Stressed Out: Support group for female spouses or caregivers of service members with post-traumatic stress disorder, active-duty female service members or veterans with PTSD. Meets from 6 to 7 p.m. at 717 N. Fourth St., Suite B in Killeen. Email Maureen Jouett at mail@bringeveryoneinthezone.org.

Sept. 13

Sprint Duathlon: Free race is open to all at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area. Preregister online or on-site from 7 to 7:30 a.m. Race begins at 8 a.m. For more information, call 254-285-5459. T-shirts are $10 for one or two for $12. Run trophies will be awarded to best overall male and female. Run medals will be awarded for the top three finishers in each age group. Golf

The Courses of Clear Creek, Building 52381 on Battalion Avenue at Clear Creek Road, is hosting these events. Call 254-287-4130.

Tuesday: Ladies get twilight green fees and 10 percent off women’s apparel purchases.

Friday: Play the Phantom Warrior Scramble for $35 per person, with the option to purchase mulligans for an additional $5 per person. Teams must consist of three players from the same division, directorate, battalion, brigade, company or branch. Additional player may be whomever the team desires. Shotgun start at noon, and on-site registration begins at 10:30 a.m.

Aug. 30-31: Play the Club Championship. On-site registration from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m., shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost is $125 per person plus applicable daily green fees and cart fees. This 36-hole individual stroke play tournament is flighted after the first day. An awards dinner on the final day.

Sept. 5: Play the Garrison Commander’s Tournament for $35 per person with optional mulligans for an additional $5 per person. Shotgun start at noon at on-site registration from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

Free Yoga Classes

Enjoy yoga from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Beginners’ yoga is 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday. Classes at the Applied Fitness Center, Building 12018, 33rd Street at Old Ironsides Avenue. Call 254-287-5586.
