Spirit Halloween on Fort Hood

Halloween decorations line the aisles Thursday afternoon at Spirit Halloween by the Post Exchange on Fort Hood.

Fort Hood Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host Halloween fun for all ages, with two upcoming annual events.

On Oct. 23, adults age 18 years and older are invited to Club Hood for a “a hilarious evening of Halloween themed murder, mystery, mayhem and food that is to-die-for,” said Michael C. Ernst, MWR business division chief.

The Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner Theater event starts at 6 p.m., with dinner and entertainment at 7 p.m.

Guests can choose from two dinner entrees which come with sides, a salad and desert. Tickets are $39.95 each and reservations are required.

To make a reservation, call Club Hood at 254-532-5073 or 254-532-5329.

For children ages 2 to 12, MWR is hosting Children’s Halloween Bingo on Oct. 24 at the Community Events and Bingo Center, Building 50012.

The event costs $5 and includes “spooktacular” prizes and lunch for the children.

Doors open at 10 a.m., with bingo games starting at 11 a.m.

Room is limited, so Ernst requests that additional adult guests are limited to ensure every child has a seat.

For more information contact the Community Events & Bingo Center 254-532-9253.

Both events are open to the public.

Ernst said each of the annual Halloween events are typically well-attended, with between 120 to 160 children at bingo and 175 attendees at the dinner theater. “These events are offered as fun and social programs for our Fort Hood soldiers, families and all of the local community to enjoy,” Ernst said.
